Dear Brompton Family,
As the COVID-19 pandemic rapidly develops, I wanted to give you all an update from Brompton.
As we face this unprecedented event, we continue to be fully committed in looking after the welfare of all our employees and their families - not just by implementing precautionary measures to look after their short-term health, but by also taking action to look after their long-term wellbeing and security.
Thanks to the passion and commitment of our team and suppliers, we are making bikes as normal and intend to continue this throughout the months ahead adapting to the challenges we will undoubtedly face. Following official advice, we are taking all possible hygiene precautions in our factory to protect our operational staff, including regular hand-washing, hand sanitising and social distancing. To this end, all non-operational staff will be working from home where possible.
Wherever safe and possible we are keeping our Brompton Junction stores open, as are our retailers around the world. Along with our retailer partners we will continue to offer spares and accessories on our website so our customers can keep riding their bikes. Our customer service team remain on hand to help you where needed. We stand alongside our industry in believing that cycling is an important resilience to COVID-19 - both in offering a practical solution for getting around avoiding the risks of mass transport, but also equally importantly to help maintain the physical and mental wellbeing of people.
We will assess our situation regularly and continue to react quickly and effectively for the good of our staff and customers.
Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this virus and I hope you and those close to you stay safe.
Thank you for your continued support.
Will Butler-Adams, CEO
